Early Head Start
Early Head Start is for families with children 0 - 3 years of age and pregnant women. Children receive
the opportunity to learn, experience success and gain self-confidence. Children are provided with activities
which help them grow mentally, socially, emotionally and physically.
Families are offered support services and the opportunity to be involved in all activities. Early Head
Start recognizes parents as the first and most important teachers of their children and welcomes parents as
equal partners.
Families will receive services through home-based pre-school or a combination of home visits and class
days. Parents are encouraged to be involved in all aspects of the program.
