Adams County Services

The Adams County Center is located in Council and offers the following services:

Education
Emergency Services
Employment
Housing
Income Management
Nutrition
Partnerships
Family Development

The services may be on a limited basis due to the fact that WICAP does not have a full time staff person at the site. If you have any questions and cannot reach someone at the office in Council, please contact the Washington County Center for assistance.

Another program that is found in the Adams County area that would not be found in other areas is the wood program that is offered through the County. It is the RAC-funded projects which is located on National Forest System Lands in Adams, Boise, Elmore, Gem, Valley, and Washington counties or on nearby lands if the project will benefit resources on the National Forests.

This is a project that was introduced to WICAP by the Forest Service in Adams County. It is a project that involves paying someone to go to designated parts of the Payette National Forest and retrieve fallen trees and scraps from recent cuttings. After extraction of these trees, they are cut into pieces for use in wood stoves and offered to the residents of Adams County through our center. WICAP verifies the income of the people in need and gives the names to the person who delivers one cord of wood.
