Early Head Start is here to help build skills for parents to be your child's first teacher. We provide family-centered services for families with very young children. These programs are designed to promote the development of the children, to enable parents to be confident in their roles as parents, and to create and meet their own goals.

Early Head Start provides similar services as preschool Head Start programs. However, they are tailored to the unique needs of infants and toddlers. They promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants and toddlers through safe and developmentally enriching caregiving. This prepares children for continued growth and development as well as eventual success in school and for life.

Early Head Start support parents, both mothers, and fathers, as primary caregivers and teachers of their children. They assist families in  self-sufficiency across a  variety of areas, such as housing stability, continued education, and financial security.

Early Head Start also mobilizes the local community to provide the resources and environment necessary to ensure comprehensive, integrated services and support for our children and families.
