Community Services Block Grant
The goal of the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)is the reduction of poverty, the revitalization of low-income
communities and the empowerment of low-income families and individuals to become fully self-sufficient.The Community Services Block Grant is designed to help low-income individuals and families: secure and retain meaningful employment; attain an adequate education; improve the use of available income, obtain adequate housing, obtain emergency assistance, including health and nutrition services; remove obstacles which block the achievement of self-sufficiency; and achieve greater participation in the affairsof the community.

We begin this process by building a relationship with the customer. Assessing the customer’s strengths, challenges and resources. Setting achievable steps and create a plan for them to reach their goals. Supporting the customers by discussing the barriers that may prevent them from being successful. Lastly, connecting customers to their community by providing referrals and maintaining a relationship with the family during this process.
