The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
No household should be without heat
As wonderful as Idaho is, there’s no denying how harsh the winters can be. Even with all utilities available, they can still be an ordeal to deal with. For families that could potentially endure an Idaho winter without heat, the situation is near unbearable. WICAP, along with our partners across Idaho, are ready to help through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
This program focuses not only on utility bill assistance, but any form of heating. If you are past due on a utility bill, or have 48 hours or less of bulk fuel for your home (wood, propane, gas, etc.), please view our requirements and contact us at (888) 900-7361

The chart below breaks down the income limits per family size in order to determine whether or not a family falls under the requirements. If you require assistance, please make sure you fall under the income limit and have the following information ready before you call:
-
Legal Picture Identification for applicant.
-
Socials for all household members.
-
Proof of previous month income for all Household members. (look at pay date not pay period)
-
Heat source statement (name, address, business, and account number).
-
Power bill required no matter what the heat is.
-
Paper application filled out completely. Available to print below or at the Community Action Centers and Head start sites.

If there are more than two people in the home, there are additional Household member pages.
